I would like to comment to you about our 2 games from last weekend.
On Friday we lost 1-0 vs Otay Rach.
The boys played well if we take in consideration
that it was our first game this year and with several new players.
We had many opportunities to score but we failed them.
Otay Ranch H S only had one opportunity during all the game
which they took advantage.
On Saturday we played against Bonita Vista, we played for a tie 3-3.
After we were winning 3-1, Bonita scored their third goal
into 2 minutes to finish the game. The boys played very well,
but at the end we lost a little bit of concentration.
I am confident since the boys are putting a lot of enthusiasm
and pride playing the games representing our school.
Today Monday, the team is taking the day to recuperate
and rest, because the next 3 days we aregoing to have
3 tough games if the weather is good enough.

Yesterday we beat Hilltop 1-0. It was a difficult opponent, we did not play a good game but enough to win it.
Last Thursday, December 18, we play against Chula Vista H S. twice in the game we were ahead in the score board. At the end we finish with a tie at 2 goals each team. It was a very intense game, played with a lot of speed and sometimes with very strong actions, but that my players of Castle Park always fought until the end to obtain a victory. Our team played much better than the previous game against Hilltop, and that was good because returned the confidence in that the boys know how to play a fast game, of team work and permanent attack. We like to play a soccer that it always goes forward and that sometimes we take risks in the defensive line but with the desire to win and to play well we want that the parents and the followers of the team watch us to play with enthusiasm and a lot of effort.
El jueves pasado, Diciembre 18, jugamos en contra de Chula Vista H S. en dos ocaciones estuvimos al frente en el marcador. Al final terminamos empatando a 2 goles. Fue un juego muy intenso, ugado a mucha velocidad y a veces con acciones muy fuertes, pero que mis jugadores de Castle Park siempre se comportaron decididos y lucharon hasta el final por obtener una victoria. Nuestro equipo jugó mucho mejor que el juego anterior en contra de Hilltop, y que bueno porque regresó la confianza en los muchachos de que saben hacer un futbol rápido, de lucha y ataque permanente. A nosotros nos gusta jugar un futbol que siempre va hacia adelante y que a veces tomamos riesgos en la defensiva pero con el deseo de ganar y jugar bién, aparte de que los padres y los seguidores del equipo vean jugar a un equipo con entusiasmo y mucha lucha.
I previously commented that the confidence in our good game, the team work and the continuous effort of the boys will bring us more victories than defeats. Tuesday December 23 we played well again and we beat Eastlake High School 7-1. The result in the score board explains for itself the difference that existed in the game field between the two teams. The boys put the concentration and the intelligence to resolve the match in the first 40 minutes.
In the second part everything was easier, but the boys continued giving their maximum effort and they did not leave doubts which of the team were better this time.
Yo comenté previamente que la confianza en nuestro buen juego, el trabajo del equipo y el esfuerzo continuo de los muchachos nos traerá más victorias que derrotas. El Martes el 23 de diciembre nosotros jugamos bien de nuevo y nosotros ganamos a Eastlake High School 7-1. El resultado en el marcador explica para sí mismo la diferencia que existió en el campo entre los dos equipos. Los muchachos pusieron la concentración y la inteligencia para resolvers el juego en los primeros 40 minutos.
En la segunda parte todo fué más fácil, pero los muchachos continuaron dando su esfuerzo máximo y ellos no dejaron dudas que equipo era el mejor ésta vez.

El jueves 15 le ganamos a Sweetwater High School 4-0, con tres goles de Alfredo y uno de Beto. Los muchachos jugaron bién, pero los arbitros cometieron 2 graves errores en contra nuestra. Expulsaron a Lalo cuando fué a él a quen le dieron una patada y el arbitro vió al revéz y luego no me dejó substituir a Lalo en un claro desconocimiento de las reglas de CIF. Pero a pesar de jugar con 10 hombres casi todo el Segundo tiempo, sweetwater no pudo crear peligro en contra de nosostros. Hay que felicitar a los muchachos porque dieron el 100% de esfuerzo durante todo el juego.
On Thursday, January 15 we defeated Sweetwater High School
4-0, with three goals of Alfredo and one of Beto. The boys played very well, but the referees made 2 serious errors against us. They ejected Lalo when they were who to kick him,one referee observed all wrong; and then he didn't allow me to substitute Lalo in a clear ignorance of the rules of CIF. But in spite the referees we played with 10 men the whole second time, Sweetwater could not create danger against us. It is necessary to congratulate the boys because they gave 100% of effort during the whole game.
Yesterday we defeated San Ysidro
2-0
The game was more than a little difficult for the rudeness and with a no good intention way of play of San Ysidro High School and for the little capacity of the referees; they allowed the whole dirty game from the visitors.
I thought before the game that the lamentable fist fight of the past between San Ysidro and Otay Ranch were an isolated event, but now I realize that the players of San Ysidro are very undisciplined and their coach don't control them or he don't want to or he cannot control them, this is unacceptable when its aggressiveness becomes violence and aggression.
Regrettably Alberto Juárez suffered a very strong kick in the knee; his parents had to take him to the hospital due to the strong blow and the blood that it came out from his knee until the ankle. Too expensive victory cost. Several of the players of San Ysidro threatened my players; it won't be a very pleasant game when we will play in their school in few days.
I hope their coach can control them but for what I saw yesterday, he didn't have any control on them. I wish that Alberto Juárez has been able to attend today to the school. Last night I talked with his parents, I hope he is better and that the consequences are not so serious so he can continue enjoying his favorite sport.
Ayer vencimos a San Ysidro 2-0 El juego fué un poco dificil pero por la rudeza y juego mal intencionado de San Ysidro y por la poca capacidad de los arbitros que les permitian casi todo el juego sucio a los visitantes. Yo pensaba antes del juego que los lamentables sucesos del pasado en el que hubo pleito de San Ysidro con Otay Ranch fue un suceso aislado, pero ahora me doy cuenta de que los jugadores de San Ysidro son muy indsciplinados y sus entrenadores no los controlan o no los quieren o pueden controlar y ésto es inaceptable cuando su agresividad se convierte en violencia y en agresion. Lamentablemente Alberto Juarez sufrió un golpe mucho muy fuerte en la rodilla que sus padres tuviero que llevarlo al hospital debido al fuerte golpe y la sangre que salia desde su rodilla hasta el tobillo. La victoria costo demasiado cara. Varios de los jugadores de San Ysidro amenazaron a mis jugadores, no va a ser un juego muy agradable cuando vayamos a jugar en la escuela de ellos. Yo espero que su entrenador pueda controlarlos pero por lo que pasó ayer, él no tuvo ningún contro de ellos. Espero que Alberto Juarez haya podido asistir hoy a la escuela. Anoche me comunique con sus padres, espero que siga mejor y que las consecuencias no sean tan graves para que pueda seguir disfrutando de su deporte favorito.
It is not necessary a lot to say, only to accept the defeat Southwest was better than us this time. We made many errors and two of them were inside the penalty area, therefore they scored 2 goals quickly, but for the second time we could score a goal just at the beginning of the second half, but other mistakes of the defense. But we have only one lost game that is it; we will continue making our best effort to win more games.
No hay mucho que decir, solamente aceptar la derrota y de que Outhwest fué mejor que nosostros ésta vez. Cometimos muchos errores y dos de ellos fueron adentro del area de castigo, por lo tanto ellos anotaron rapidamente 2 goles, pero para el segundo tiempo pudimos anotar un gol recién empezando el segundo tiempo, pero otros descuidos de la defensa. Pero llevamos solamente un juego perdido pero es todo, seguiremos esforzandonos para ganar más juegos.

Today we defeated Olympian High School, it was a strange game, the boys were like as today's day, color gray, it seems that the rain and the cold turned off them the enthusiasm and the pleasure to play soccer.
I had to get them the attention and concentration so that they realized that they were playing a not very cheerful and enthusiast way.
The second time I made some changes and with our chat at half time, the team improved in attitude and in spite of the bad character and errors of the referees, that gave away a gift to the other team as a penalty shot,
we are able to win for 2-1…. uuufff

Today Saturday, the team seemed a rainbow, but with prevalence of an intense red color for the enthusiasm, pride and effort that the boys put inside the field.
We only had a substitution player, since the other players were hurt or punished by the parents.
Unfortunately they hurt one of my players and the referees again did not call any foul, one adversary almost breaks the left ankle of my player, I had to carry out in my arms.
The boys didn't stop running and fighting for the ball, in spite of the errors that the referees had.
The game field was very wet and muddied, it was very difficult to run or to keep the balance,
more difficult it was to control the ball and to pass it, but the attitude of the boys was high,
thinking to win which this was what happened today.
Richard Contreras is the one who they hurt. The rest of the game we played with the hope that they would not hurt another of my players because I had no longer substitute.
At the end we return them the score and we beat them 4-1. YEEAAA

We tried it and we tried more, but one doesn't have sometimes a good aim. We failed many goal opportunities, but after a defense of our team had the bad luck of scoring in our own goal, we tried and tried more until we are able to tie the score and then afterwards we didn't have the aim to score down more goals to Montgomery to win the game, we had many clear opportunities, as many as 4 good ones, but we didn't have aim. But we tried more than we could. At the end we tied 1-1 but we are happy because for third consecutive year we are champions of South Bay area.
Lo intentamos y lo intentamos más, pero a veces no se tiene la buena punteria. Fallamos muchas ocaciones de gol, pero después de que un defensa de nuestro equipo tuvo la mala suerte de anotar en nuestra propia porteria, intentamos y lo intentams más hasta que logramos empatar el marcador y luego no tuvimos la punteria para anotar más goles a Montgomery y ganar, tuvimos muchas ocaciones claras, como 4, pero no tuvimos punteria. Pero lo intentamos lo más que pudimos. Al final quedamos empatados 1-1 pero estamos contentos porque por tercera vez consecutiva quedamos campeones del area de South Bay.
Por tercer año consecutivos conseguimos ser los campeones unicos del area de South Bay.
Felicidades a todos los muchachos y el agradecimiento a Mr Russell Moore por su apoyo.
