After a difficult 3-1 loss against Costa Rica Wednesday at Estadio Ricardo Saprissa in San Jose, the U.S. Men have returned to the U.S. in preparation for Saturday's FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Honduras at Soldier Field in Chicago. Over 50,000 have been sold for the match, which comes against the very opponent who handed the U.S. their last defeat on home soil.

After the game against Honduras the US team travels to its commitment of the Confederations Cup in South Africa
The eight-team competition showcases confederation champions from across the world, and also provides a glimpse of the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ hosts South Africa.

The United States has been drawn into a powerful Group B along with reigning world champions Italy, five-time World Cup winners Brazil, and reigning African Cup of Nations winners Egypt for the FIFA Confederations Cup 2009 that will be played from June 14-28, 2009, in South Africa.

The U.S. kicks off action against Italy on June 15 at Loftus Versfeld in Tshwane/Pretoria, and then faces Brazil on June 18 in the same venue. The United States finishes group play on June 21 against Egypt at Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg.
Played in four venues during two weeks, the tournament will serve as excellent preparation for the 2010 FIFA World Cup™.
